The SDE Pro Sports project aims at developing social dialogue in professional sport in the European Union by producing a guide to set up social dialogue in sport. The writing of this guide will be based on a mapping of the main social dialogue outcomes that have been produced in European countries. Gathering experiments and good practices from various countries and organisations may help to overcome the lack of dialogue in the countries where it may be needed.

This project intends to be a new step towards a social dialogue between sport employers’ and employees’ organizations in Europe, thanks to the establishment of common grounds for social dialogue in professional sports. The project is also a great occasion to bring together national sport employers and professional athletes’ representatives, to strengthen social dialogue in the sport sector and encourage a reflection concerning the future structuration of a social dialogue in professional sports at European level.
