On December 2nd and 3rd, the EASE premises in Paris became a vibrant hub of collaboration and innovation as we hosted the fourth Transnational Partner Meeting of the BeST Inclusion Project. This pivotal gathering brought together dedicated partners from across Europe, united by a shared mission: fostering greater inclusion within sports organizations.
Two Days of Meaningful Progress
The meeting provided an invaluable opportunity to evaluate our progress, refine our strategies, and lay the groundwork for impactful actions ahead. Over the course of these two intensive days, we achieved significant milestones:
Day 1: Advancing Inclusion Recommendations
The first day was dedicated to refining a set of actionable recommendations designed to embed inclusivity within European sports organizations. Partners brought valuable insights from their respective contexts, identifying recurring challenges such as barriers to access, underrepresentation in leadership, and inequitable resource allocation.
These discussions laid the groundwork for drafting evidence-based recommendations aimed at addressing these issues. The goal was to create tools that are both practical and adaptable, capable of meeting the diverse needs of stakeholders across grassroots clubs, federations, and governing bodies. Recognizing the varied cultural and structural landscapes within Europe, we also worked on ensuring these recommendations could be tailored to specific contexts while maintaining their core principles of equity, diversity, and accessibility.
Day 2: Crafting a Comprehensive Dissemination Plan
The second day focused on ensuring the project’s impact extends well beyond its duration. Partners collaborated to develop a dissemination strategy aimed at maximizing the visibility and adoption of the project’s outcomes.
Central to these discussions was the role of the Final Event, envisioned as a platform to showcase the recommendations and engage a wide range of stakeholders. Plans were made to use interactive workshops, personal testimonials, and digital resources to communicate the project’s vision effectively.
Beyond the Final Event, the group emphasized the importance of sustaining the project’s influence. This included building partnerships with key players in the sports sector, integrating the recommendations into training programs, and leveraging digital platforms to share outcomes broadly.
What’s Next?
As we look toward the Final Event and beyond, the momentum generated during this meeting will be instrumental in ensuring the success and legacy of the BeST Inclusion Project. Stay tuned for updates as we continue this exciting journey!
